UCSDMC POLICY/PROCEDURE-RADIOLOGY
Effective Wednesday, December 13, 2006, at 1100, routine coagulation tests will be performed on the Beckman ACL TOP Automated Coagulation Analyzer. The following tests will be performed on site at both Hillcrest and Thornton medical centers:
PROTIME* Reference range:* 7.6 sec-9.3 sec
APTT Reference range: 25.3 sec-33.2 sec
FIBGN Reference range: 200 mg/dl-450 mg/dl
D-DIMER HS Reference range: 240 ng/ml or less is a Negative test
SIGNIFICANT CHANGES:
*New test name and new reference range for PT
The turn around time for D-Dimer HS is less than one hour at both Hillcrest and Thornton.
Heparin therapeutic range is now available in the “DETAIL” page of APTT results.
